Cae Hir Gardens

Gerddi Cae Hir Gardens are situated just a few miles from the beautiful Cardiganshire Coast and sit comfortably in the gentle surrounding countryside. The gardens are the work of just one man who arrived in Wales in the summer of 1983 with a dream...to create a garden that all could enjoy. This man is Wil Akkermans who left his native Holland with his wife and three young children to pursue that dream. In Holland Wil was a teacher of French, but horticulture is in his blood, with a family tradition of nursery keeping stretching back through the ages for over 200 years. So in September 1983 the family moved into Cae Hir and The Dream began.
