Our Access Statement

We will always work hard to cater for all of our guests needs.

We are in a very quiet rural location where the nearest railway station (Carmarthen) is some 30 miles away and it would be difficult to reach us by other public transport.

Our hotel is located on a sloping site and the main hotel building reflects this.  There is car parking available  immediately  to the front and whilst there are six steps to reception level,  we have a portable ramp and offer assistance with luggage.  Two sets of double doors leads to the reception where there is ample seating.

Doors to the Restaurant, Drawing room, Bar and Terrace Restaurant are wide enough for wheelchair access and are on one level.  There is a wheelchair-accessible, fully adapted unisex toilet adjacent to the bar and the hotel is well lit throughout.  Our restaurant has a flexible seating plan and seats here and in the bar and Drawing Room are easily moved.  We have waitress service and menus can be provided in large print if required. We are a non-smoking hotel throughout.

The main hotel accommodation is located on the first and second floors.  There is no lift.  However, our new Garden Rooms adjacent to the main building, most of which are easily accessible, are also at ground level and one is a fully adapted mobility unit which can also accept a carer.  A car space is allocated for this approximately 30ft (level) away.

Please advise us of any special needs at the time of enquiry.

Leisure Club
Slightly away from the main building and uphill is our Leisure facility. There is a heated indoor pool, access to which, from its own car-park, is via three steps (or ramp) and a door threshold.  Within the building there are separate male/female changing rooms and also separate large WCs which could be used for changing. The pool deck area is limited and there are access steps at the shallow end (1 metre) and ladder access at the deeper end (sloping to 1.6 metres).

There is a member of staff on duty in the adjacent building with CCTV monitoring of the pool area, where there is also a bar and cafe area.  There is one step to access, but all on one level within.

The outdoor heated pool, which is available during summer months, is a little difficult to access due to the sloping site.  We will continue to monitor our services.
Any special needs would have to be brought to our attention beforehand for safety reasons.
